Course Details
On this one day course you will learn to weave a round base, before adding uprights to weave the side and border to make a shallow tray or taller basket for fruit etc.
You will be able to choose from a selection of willow on the day to weave the base of the basket making the design unique to you.
All materials and tools are provided, plus tea, coffee and biscuits throughout the day. Please bring a packed lunch.
Please note working with willow can be tough on the hands and requires some strength, so this workshop is unsuitable for those who suffer from
arthritis or other conditions that affect the hands.

Basket Weaving / Gwehyddu Basged

On this two-day course, you will learn how to make a willow storage basket using the traditional stake and strand technique: woven round base, two weaving patterns to weave the sides before finishing the basket with integrated handles and a border.
All materials and tools are provided, along with warm drinks and cake. However please bring your own lunch.
A deposit of £25 per person is required on booking, with the total amount payable two weeks before the workshop.
Please note all bookings are non-refundable unless a replacement is found.
